(An American tribute by
my daughter)
The sky is blue and
the sun is bright
There is not one
cloud in sight
People walking in a
hurry, just out of bed
No one could foresee
what lay ahead
Everyone was going
about their normal day
Some going to work
and some going to play
Then out of nowhere
the evil came
Now nothing will ever
be the same
When the first plane
crashed into our tower
Everyone stood there,
helpless, knowing we had no power
The tower started to
burn, with people trapped inside
Knowing they'd never
see their families again
All they could do is
cry
Some jumping out to
their death, some running about
Some just lying there
quietly, knowing there was no way out
Before emergency
crews could react
A second plane came
to attack
Ripping through the
second tower, the plane burst into flames
Not one life would be
the same
People sobbing in the
street
As the towers came
crumbling down at their feet
Everyone was running
frantically
Trying to escape the
big cloud of dust
If they wanted to
live, they knew they must
Thousands of rescue
workers and firefighters gave their lives
Trying to save the
ones lost inside
Some made it out and
some did not
But we know in our
heart, they all fought
All that remains at
the site where the towers stood tall
Is a bunch of dust
and metal
And we know we have a
score to settle
America lost so much
that day
But we will stand
strong, No one gets in our way
We were attacked by a
"Faceless Coward"
But together with God
on our side, we have all the power
With our love, pride,
and our brave men
America will get
through this - We Will Win!
